Tunnel Vision
1: constriction of the visual field resulting in loss of peripheral vision
2: extreme narrowness of viewpoint : NARROW-MINDEDNESS
3 : single-minded concentration on one objective
Example:
His tunnel vision made sensible discussions or decisions nearly impossible.
Safe operation of a vessel can't happen when we have tunnel vision. We live and work in a world of diversity and changing currents. Tows handle different. Crews have different knowledge and abilities. Different vessels handle differently.
Learn how to prevent tunnel vision. The best way is COMMUNICATION, with your partner, your crews and your IMS Resources.
