Monthly Weekly and Boarding Forms
Monday, August 7, 2023

At IMS we are required to perform,  monthly vessel, quarterly vessel, weekly skiff, navigational assessment, voyage plan, vessel walk arounds upon boarding, Drills and watch change protocol check lists.

These are not just requirements of IMS but the Coast Guard also.

We expect our Engineers to do their daily, weekly and monthly checks on our Engine Rooms, because they are vital to us staying afloat and running.  The other checks are just as vital. All of these checks and inspections are implemented to give you a safe and well equipped vessel to insure that everyone can return home in one piece.

Part of IMS's contracts are to insure the vessels they operate  follow all safety rules set forth by Industry and the U.S.C.G. , and the vessels are compliant with the standards set forth.

These checklists are important to how we operate and crew our many different style of vessels. Where every vessel has different storage, different fire station placement,  different skiffs, different face wire winches and fittings, different electronically controlled steering pumps.

In an emergency there is a necessity, that the equipment is working, available and you have knowledge of how it operates.  In an emergency, reaction time is vital to everyone’s safety.

If you perform these checklists, not just pencil whip them, you are ensuring your ability to respond promptly and you are ensuring your safe return to your families.
